6 Days Lemosho Route

Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route

Day 1; Londorossi Entrance to Mti Mkubwa

We depart Arusha for Londorossi Entrance, which takes about 4 hours, where you will complete admission formalities. Then get-up-and-go to the Lemosho trail head. Upon entrance to the trail head, we start climbing through the uninterrupted forest which winds to the first camp place.

Hiking time: 3.5 hrs

Distance: Approx 5.4 km

Habitat: Montaner forest

 

Day 2; Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp

We continue on the track heading out of the rain woodland and into a grassland of tall swards, Heather and volcanic rock swathed with lichen stubbles. As we rise through the opulent rolling hills and cross some streams, we reach the Shira Ridge before dipping moderately down to Shira 1 Camp. Here we clasp our first sight of Kibo across the upland.

Distance: 15.6 km

Habitat: Heath

 

Day 3; Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut

We discover the Shira Highland for a full day. It is a tender walk east on heath meadows on the way to Shira 2 Camp. Then we sidetrack from the focal path to Moir Hut, a little-used spot on the base of Lent Hills. A variability of walks is accessible on Lent Hills making this an outstanding adaptation chance. Shira Highland is one of the highest plateaus on earth.

6 Day Lemosho route:

 

Day 4: Barranco to Karanga camp

At 8:00 am Start climbing from Barranco camp, hike approx 10km to Barafu camp stop at Karanga camp for having lunch. You can assume to reach Barafu camp by 16hr to 17hr. Have amazing dinner and little sing with your supporter staff, then prepare your summit gear tonight and rest till 23hr when Guides will wake up you and assist you to carry your all-important gears for the summit.

 

Day 5: Starting climbing to the summit just after midnight and assume to reach the summit by sunrise. Descend to Barafu camp and then continues to Mweka camp which would arrive about 16:00 pm.

 

7 Day Lemosho route:

 

Day 4: Hiking Barranco to Karanga camp

At 8:00 am Start climbing from Barranco camp, hike approx 10km to Barafu camp stop at Karanga camp for having lunch, Dinner and overnight (An after lunch acclimatization walk can be a better idea would you feel up to it)

 

Day 5: climb bit higher 3.3km from Karanga camp to Barafu camp.

You might assume to arrive at Barafu by around 11hr that will allow more time to take a break, Have amazing dinner and little sing with your supporter staff, then prepare your summit gear tonight and rest till 23hr when Guides will wake up you and assist you to carry your all-important gears for the summit.

 

Day 6: Starting climb to Kili summit, just after midnight then assume to reach the summit by daylight. Descend to Barafu camp and then continues to Mweka camp which would arrive about 16:00 pm.
